Delete Your Account

You can delete your Gameeba account and everything tied to it at any time. The fastest way is from inside the app — it happens immediately and needs no request or waiting period. If you can't sign in, you can ask us by email instead.

Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app

This is immediate and irreversible. No approval from us, no waiting.

Open Gameeba and go to Account → Your Data.
If you'd like a copy first, tap Export my data to download a complete JSON backup. Once the account is deleted we can't recover anything.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

If you only want to clear your play history or game data but keep your account, the same screen has separate options for that.

Option 2 — Ask us by email

If you've lost access to your account or can't use the app, email hello@gameeba.com from the address your account is registered under, with the subject Delete my account.

We'll confirm the request comes from the account owner before deleting anything.
We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
We'll email you once it's done.

Emailing from a different address than the one on the account is fine, but we may ask for extra detail to confirm ownership — we won't delete an account on an unverified request.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes your login and every record tied to it:

Your account and sign-in identity — including revoking your Sign in with Apple token, so Gameeba disappears from your Apple ID.
Profile details — display name, username, and your avatar, including any photo you uploaded.
Your game library and wishlist, and any games you imported.
Play sessions — scores, players, dates, durations, winners, and your session notes.
Score sheets you created.
Local players — the profiles and photos you added for people at your table.
Friends and pending requests, in both directions.
Meeby feedback snapshots — any question and answer you rated 👍 or 👎.

What isn't deleted, and why

A few things survive deletion. We've kept this list short and specific rather than reserving broad rights:

Game nights you shared with other players. When you host a session with friends, the results are delivered to everyone who played. Those players keep their own copy of that game night — it's their play history too, and we can't remove it from their account. Your name may appear in it.
Feedback and user reports you submitted. Kept so we have a record of issues raised and how they were resolved, including reports made about other users under our safety rules. Retained for up to 12 months.
Crash and error reports. Technical diagnostics held by our crash-reporting provider (Sentry), retained under Sentry's standard retention period — no longer than 90 days — and then deleted automatically.
Purchase records for tips. If you left a tip, the transaction record is held by Apple or Google and retained as long as tax and accounting law requires. We never receive your payment details.
Encrypted backups. Routine encrypted database backups may still contain a copy of your data for up to 90 days, after which they are deleted automatically. Backups are never used to restore a deleted account.
Short-lived server logs and rate-limit counters, which expire on their own.

Using Gameeba without an account

You can browse Gameeba without signing in at all. In that mode your library and wishlist are stored only on your device, and uninstalling the app removes them — there's nothing on our servers to delete.
